Luqaimat have about 275 to 417 kcal per 100 g in analyses from Bahrain, Kuwait and the UAE [1][2][3]. The UAE restaurant samples were at the top, with 22.8 g of fat per 100 g, against 7.9 to 9.5 g in the others [3].

Frequently asked

How many calories are in luqaimat?

About 275 to 417 kcal per 100 g in analyses from Bahrain, Kuwait and the UAE. Weigh a few pieces to get your total.

How many calories are in one luqaimat piece?

It depends on the piece's weight, which none of the sources gives. At about 3 to 4 kcal per gram, a 10 g piece is about 30 to 40 kcal (calculated).

Are luqaimat with date syrup lighter than with sugar syrup?

We found no analysis that compares them, so we can't say. Both syrups are mostly sugar; the frying oil made a bigger difference in the analyses we found.
