Voltra
About Voltra
Voltra is an iPhone app for training, nutrition and recovery. It's made in Kuwait by Abdullah Almethen, and every screen works in English and in Arabic.
What the app does
- Train: periodised training programs, and a log for every set you do.
- Eat: an AI meal scanner that recognizes Gulf and Arabic dishes from a photo or a description, and a library of more than 1,000 recipes.
- Recover: recovery built on your Apple Health data.
- Coach: an AI coach that answers from your own numbers rather than generic advice.
Made for how the Gulf eats and trains
Many calorie counters are built around Western food and English menus. Voltra's meal scanner recognizes Gulf and Arabic dishes such as machboos and shawarma, food search covers 130 Gulf and Levantine foods by their Arabic names, and the whole app runs right to left in Arabic, not just a translated menu. You can switch languages at any time from the Language setting inside the app.
How Voltra uses AI
The meal scanner and the coach use Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. AI output can be wrong: calorie and macro estimates are approximations, so check them, and don't rely on them for medical, allergy or safety decisions. Voltra gives general fitness and nutrition information, not medical advice.
Your data
Voltra doesn't show ads and doesn't sell data. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what leaves your iPhone, who processes it and why.
